‘WHAT WE DO’: We specialize in corporate catering and serve/deliver all over the Lehigh Valley. Our food is prepared daily and all the ingredients are purchased fresh every morning at a local farmers market. We make fresh homemade soups and other authentic homemade Russian dishes. Thursday Nights at BFD are our KIEV NIGHTS where we serve you a 5+ courses of authentic and traditional Russian dishes. Everything here is made with lots of LOVE, and you can taste it! Our Catering is getting very popular for the local companies in the area. We make nice assorted sandwich trays, king size fresh salads, side dishes such as macaroni, potato, and coleslaw. We also make dessert trays and much, much more! Our goal at BFD is to serve you the freshest and healthiest meal we can!

WHY HYLANDER’S RECOMMENDATION?: This one is easy. It’s because BFD is the only deli in Bethlehem that will deliver lunch to me an hour away in Clinton, NJ with no delivery charge. And Vica delivers it personally with a 30 minutes or less delivery guarantee!**

( ** This obviously isn’t factual or true, but I felt obligated to include this little inside humor.  ;) )

Actually, there are numerous reasons I love BlackForest Deli, and I’ll start with the paninis. I “LOVE” paninis, and BFD serves them hot and delicious with a great variety of choices on the menu. Their location might be a little small on the inside, but Vica and her mother go out of their way to make you comfortable and at home with top notch food and service. You’ll often find customers sitting at one of their tables working on their laptop, messaging on their smartphones, and participating in casual conversations with Vica and other customers. As if all that weren’t enough, she and her mom do all this at prices that no one can reasonably complain about! Great food. Great atmosphere. Great prices. I may be an Economist, but you don’t need to be to figure out that these ingredients combine to create great value!

So the next time you are hungry and need some place to go, I highly recommend stopping by BlackForest Deli and picking up some delicious food.
